Ladysmith Resources Centre Association Adventures in Early Literacy

Adventures in Early Literacy (AEL) is a free, 8 week program for parents with 3-5 year olds. AEL provides a structured opportunity to promote school readiness, the importance of parent involvement and to provide simple, yet effective opportunities for learning. Weekly sessions last 2 hours each week and the sequence of events repeats from week to week. This builds confidence in children as they know what to expect while still learning and mastering new skills. Each weekly session is based on a different children’s book. This theme is woven through stories, songs, games, reading of books, crafts, and creative, healthy snacks.
