West Coast Men's Support Society

West Coast Men's Support Society delivers the following core programs: (1) Men's Circles: You are invited to attend Men’s Circles across British Columbia! This is a place where men come to be supported in all aspects of their lives without fear of blame or judgment. It is a place where we, as men, hear your truth, your story. We are a group of men with a desire to take responsibility, to live authentic lives, and to be accountable to ourselves, our families, and our community. (2) One on One Peer Counselling & Healthy Men: The WCMSS is offering individual counselling to men and their families in the community. This is a safe place for you to come and receive support. We are here to listen and to reflect your needs back to you.

Whether men/boys are dealing with:

- Abuse

- Addiction

- Anger

- Anxiety

- Bullyism

- Depression

- Loneliness/Isolation

- Relationship Challenges It is our believe that the majority of men follow the “tough it out” philosophy of health – which means that instead of being proactive with their well being, they prefer to plough forward until they reach the point of no return when a Doctor gives them the bad news or they suffer a massive coronary.

Our mandate is to invite men to take responsibility for their well being. It is our hope that through a combination of educational materials, resources, programs, therapeutic interventions, workshops and conferences men will be able to take the necessary steps to take better care of themselves; and therefore be more positive members of their families and communities. What is Fire & Bones? It speaks to the FIRE of the teenage soul and the BONES of those who came before them - whose stories can set them on the right path. Through our school based "Guys Groups" it is our hope that boys between the ages of 12 and 18 can hear the stories of committed, conscientious adult men, and therefore be invited to share their stories - their truth. We use the ancient wisdom of the "Circle" to share because we all gather as equals to support one another on our journeys. We hope that through this sharing, the boys will become more empowered in their life and become leaders in their families and communities. Respect & Compassion Program
