Cowichan Young Carers Program
The Young Carers Program provides support to youth in a caregiving role to a family member We provide mental health support by offering one-on-one support, support groups, counselling, and connection to community resources. We also provide advocacy, education, and information. Our First Nations Youth Facilitator works with young carers in the Cowichan Tribes. We also run wellness workshops and activities focusing on youth leadership and empowerment.more info

Don Scott, M.A., Registered Psychologist
Don Scott is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia, with 35 years of experience. Don provides individual, couple, and family therapy for issues including the treatment of depression, anxiety and panic disorders, phobias, trauma and PTSD, relationship problems, and loss and bereavement. Don is certified in EMDR, a well recognized and effective treatment for trauma and PTSD. He is a provider for the Indian Residential School- Resolution Support Program, Veterans, RCMP, and Department of National Defense.more info

Vancouver Island Crisis Line
The Vancouver Island Crisis Society provides short term emotional support 24 hours/7 days a week via the telephone, online Crisis Chat at www.vicrisis.ca and Crisis Text @ 250-800-3806 from 6 to 10pm every night during times of crisis. We are the public access to Mental Health Crisis Response Services Island wide.
