South Cowichan Community Policing Advisory Society (SCCPAS)
Volunteer-driven organization that provides South Cowichan residents with RCMP-supported educational programs, information and services with the common goal of achieving: Safe Streets, Safe Homes, Safe Communities and Safe Waterways. SCCPSS was incorporated under the Society Act in 1999. more info
Thrifty's Foods Sendial
Shopping and home delivery service for customers unable to shop in-store without assistance. That may include for example those with physical mobility issues, cognitive limitations or vision impairment. Sendial is available on a temporary or permanent basis for a nominal fee of $5.00 per delivery. Program was established by Thrifty Foods in 1987 and now serves over 2,000 customers. Volunteers calls customers on an assigned day each week to take a grocery order, which is delivered the next day in a refrigerated delivery truck. A minimum grocery order of $25 is required, excluding the delivery fee. more info
